you can just scoop the gravel and take the ornaments out of the tank its in, clean it off and put it in the new tank, simple as that. The fish'll be fine in an open tank for a while, it doesnt NEED substrate to survive or anything. If you think it only takes a week to the cycle a tank, you might want to brush over that subject a little bit after you set up the new tank. Once its cycled just get it out with a net and add it to the new tank!
