Is Halloween 2 (H2) worth seeing?

I recently have seen The final destination 3-D and I liked it a lot. Although, I didn't like Rob Zombie's Halloween, while not terrible, it's run-of-the-mill Hollywood dribble. Is H2 more of the same? I ask because I heard the deaths were awesome and gory. Also, I want to see what's so weird and exotic about the film. I am attending a matinee that's only $4.50 this weekend, if you are wondering.
