Is it ever acceptable to tell someone who has been molested as a child to get over it?

It could be that her home life is aggravating any remaining issues from the molestation. Stress at home and school can get some people into depression. Her school counselor said to get over it? If anyone, a counselor should know better. It's a very hurtful statement. Being out of the house probably has helped.
