Question with selling items... (sry for spelling mistakes I'm using my iPad )?

Ok umm...I'm from this country call Burma or( myanmar) and at our country we got this awesome board game, it's an addiction. So I started thinking of making them and selling them (in USA). I did some research if such game exists here and sadly yes its 80% like this board game called carrom. But the way we play at our country is different . Game pieces are different rules are different. The carrom here doesn't have numbers on them, the way we play does. I did some research and company from Malaysia been making them. Also known that carrom is originated from Burma ;), but I wasn't first to make them.sp I don't know a thing about product rights trademarks copyrights. So I wanna sell it different pieces different game modes, only thing the same will be is game board will be squared and have 4 holes, son help me out please , is it legal to sell something that look close to carrom boards? And Of course ill be using different name.
